And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. -Romans 8:28 (NASB)
What does the verse above have to do with Christmas?
Romans 8:28 has comforted believers for centuries, that He uses all things for the good of those He has called. He uses good and bad people and situations to make His will be done.
We see this over and over in Scripture, and nowhere is it more evident than when the long prophesied Savior of the world was born. From generations long before Jesus, through Jesus’ life, and for all generations since, God uses the light and dark in this world to save those who will only believe.
Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! -2 Corinthians 9:15 (NASB)
Christmastime is a time for all to enjoy loved ones, but it’s most importantly a celebration of God’s promise made flesh, the ultimate loving sacrifice for a world and people gone astray. Thank You, Lord, for Your Son, and His finished saving work…His gift of Himself to us all.
Merry Christmas!
