God is my strength and power, And He makes my way perfect. (II Samuel 22:33 NKJV)
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV)
Life is like an epic adventure film, with each of us living a storyline weaving in ways only God can. And this film goes on for generations, each on the foundation of the ones that came before.
Sometimes our storylines hit some mountaintops, drop deep into valleys, and endure some really rough storms. And sometimes our storylines may seem dull at the time, as if there were no rhyme or reason or greater purpose to them. There are times of elation, sorrow, mystery, and fear.
But make no mistake: this is the great adventure, a life of pursuit of the Lord in all we do, through all seasons. We blaze trails of light through a dark world, hopefully inspiring more to join us in our trailblazing.
He has great things ahead for you, and the work He does through you is greater than you can imagine. No matter what your age, He always has new things for you to explore and overcome in victory!
As we continue our pilgrimage through this world on our way to the next, God is with us all the way. Sometimes we forget that in the really high and really low times. But He is our guide, the only constant we have on this journey.
Saddle up. We have a trail to blaze!
Steven Curtis Chapman’s classic “The Great Adventure” will snap you out of your funk and remind you of the great adventure God is leading us on!
