Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. -Phil. 4:6-7

Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire? -Corrie ten Boom

God has of His own motion placed Himself under the law of prayer, and has obligated Himself to answer the prayers of men. He has ordained prayer as a means whereby He will do things through men as they pray, which He would not otherwise do. . . . If prayer puts God to work on earth, then, by the same token, prayerlessness rules God out of the world’s affairs, and prevents Him from working. -E.M. Bounds, The Weapon of Prayer: Putting God to Work

No matter how well or how terribly things are going for you in life, don’t stop talking to God. Pray about everything. He hears your every celebration, every cry, and every groan. He hears it all. And He responds to prayer.

Because we are believers, worry is something we have the blessing of not having to carry. For the nonbelievers around us, worry is a very real and dominating burden, because they have no Almighty Father who can shoulder all their cares and burdens. But we have the assurance of a steadfast Father who created the universe and everything in it, so our burdens are nothing to Him! As His children, we honor Him by casting our cares on Him so we can run the race light.

Most importantly, we thank Him for everything. We thank Him being blessed to exist and be entrusted by Him to carry out His purpose, and to do great things in His name. We thank Him for the power of His Word, His promises, and the power of persistent, believing prayer, which opens pathways He only grants through prayer.

So, pray always. Don’t stop because you don’t hear or see any change. Cast your cares on your Father. He can handle them. He hears you and is making ways you can’t see. Pray on.
