My soul waits for the Lord More than the watchmen for the morning; Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning. -Psalm 130:6 (NASB)
Ever felt like you’re suffocating…drowning…and life just won’t let up? You can’t even get a deep breath in…but your brain and body need that oxygen to replenish.
Without oxygen, we’re goners. But hard times can cause our breathing to become stifled…shallow…ragged. We’re in panic mode for our very survival.
In times like those, the concepts of overcoming, persevering, and living victoriously are about the farthest from our minds…that happens when our souls are spiritually suffocated when we keep battling life in our own strength.
Without spiritual breath within, we’re just robots…and life gets pointless and repetitive really fast. When we reach the point where we can’t take any more, it’s time to surrender and acknowledge He not only is sovereign over all aspects of our lives, but that we need Him more than anything…even oxygen. And watch what happens…how He will transform your perspective, mind, and heart when you do!
