Noah did according to all that the LORD had commanded him. -Genesis‬ ‭7:5‬ ‭(NASB)

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. -Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭(NASB)

In a world consumed with corruption and sin and violence, one that grieved God’s heart so badly that He regretted making man, Noah was the glimmer of hope in the darkness. Noah was obedient to the Lord, which was completely the opposite of the fleshly lives lived all around him.

And Noah and his family were instructed by God to build an ark by which He would save mankind and start anew, atop a watery grave of the rest of the world. For decades, he and his family built the ark to God’s specifications. Can you imagine the ridicule and threats and physical attacks they must have endured and fought off all those years?

Noah and his family didn’t conform to the world, and neither do Christ followers.

Today, our world ridicules faith in God, as well as the veracity of His Word. Science is not thought of as a description of God’s creation, but evidence that there is no God. Our current world denies God, as did the world in Noah’s time.
But stand firm, true believer. Walk with God, no matter what the world tells you about your walk, or about Him. Don’t just think different, know different.
