That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” -1 Corinthians 2:9 (NLT)
Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him. -Isaiah 64:4 (NIV)
Have you ever waited so expectantly for an outcome that you’ve been hoping for…wishing for…praying for…only to not have it happen? Has that shaken your faith?
Have faith that where God has you now is where He needs you. He does all things for His children according to His will and timing (Romans 8:28).
So if you feel trapped or stuck in a painful place, instead of writhing and bucking, thank God for where you are. What?!? you might say! He may have you there to learn something to grow. He may have you there as an instrument to help others around you. But we do know that nothing He does is by accident, so He will move you to the next chapter when the time is right.
So, keep praying your heart. Keep believing in that for which you pray. His Word commands it! Keep the faith. Just because where He has you now isn’t where you wanted to be now, doesn’t mean He won’t put you there in His timing. He may very well be rearranging everything in the super complex tapestry of everyone in this world before He will open the door you need to get in, or get out.
Keep the faith, agent. He hears your every cry and plea. Thank Him for where you are, and ask Him to show you what you need to learn while you’re here. And just like Abraham, fully surrender your hopes and dreams to Him. His Word shows that, if it is in His will, that He fulfills surrendered dreams and lives manyfold.
We don’t know His plans for us, but we know they are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Look up at that gray sky, the unchanging situation, this seeming rut you feel trapped in, and thank Him for making a way, and to please show you the way. He’s waiting for you in the next chapter!
